How to Message Someone on TikTok

You may not know that TikTok supports direct messages, if you’re looking to Send a message to someone on TikTok you’ve come to the right place. I will share with you two methods, let start with the first method below.

Open your TikTok App and look at the bottom of the app.
Notice the inbox Icon as shown in the above picture, upon clicking it you’ll show you all the list of your TikTok notifications including likes comments and general push notifications.

Now look at the Airplane sign at the top right corner of the app, tap on that corner.
You will see all sent and received messages. However, if you don’t have a direct message preview on, it will ask you to enable them.

After enabling them to click the + icon, and it will popular the list of mutual followers or those who have allowed anyone to send them messages.

You can also search for usernames by using the search bar at the top of the screen once you’ve selected the person you want to dm just type your message and hit send it’s that simple. In case you want to send DM to anyone on TikTok then follow next method.

How to Send Message somone on TikTok, Who is not your friend?

Before we start sending messages to others, you need to enable your DM to be received from everyone, it is pretty simple.

Tap on the little me(profile) icon at the bottom of your TikTok app, and then the three bars at the top right corner.
Select privacy(see blow pics), and then scroll down a bit under safety and tap Direct message, here you can see who can send you direct messages and you want to make sure that’s not set to no one.

After enabling that, click the Home button on TkTok or go-to For You page, and let’s say you want to send a message to anyone you are watching the video of.

Swipe to the left while you are watching their video, it will open up their profile.
There, click follow button, and all of a sudden message option will appear, click the message option and send them a message.
